Spring Dinner with Chef Sam Mason

✨ SOLD OUT ✨

Saturday, April 13, 2024
6pm
$150 per person

We are very excited to invite you to our first private ticketed dinner!

We are kicking things off with Chef Sam Mason, butcher at Evergreen and chef of his own pop-up, Le Diablerie. Sam has cooked all over Atlanta (and beyond) at some of our favorite restaurants like Talat Market, Ticonderoga Club, and Gunshow.

At Waybird he’ll be using our wood fire oven and his own Argentinian-style grills to cook up some deliciousness. Our garden will be providing some early-spring veggies, and we’ll be sourcing meats & other ingredients from local farms. Expect family-style dishes, unique ingredients & flavors, ~5 courses.

BYOB (because we can’t sell alcohol), but we’ll suggest some great wines to pair with the menu! We’ll have glasses for you.

A few more things to note:

  • Limited seating: We’re limiting this event to 50 people, adults only. We hope to host quarterly dinners, so if this one is full or not exactly your cup-of-tea, you can look out for the next one!

  • Rideshare: Uber/Lyft is available and encouraged! Waybird is just 25 minutes from Atlanta. We’ll have a space for rideshare drivers to pull in and turn around in our driveway.

  • Dietary restrictions: While some dishes will be allergen-free or vegetarian, we can’t really accommodate dietary restrictions for the full meal this time. We will provide the menu a week or so prior (waiting to know what seasonal ingredients are ready), but dishes may contain dairy, gluten, nuts, meat — some rare/raw. If you have questions before you buy a ticket, let us know. We’re aiming to do more dinners and will absolutely be doing some that are more veg-forward, etc. if this one doesn’t work for ya!

  • Inclement weather: If it’s going to be super cold or rainy we will…cry, and then we’ll email everyone who RSVPed if we have to postpone. We do have heaters that can warm up the barn if it’s a bit chilly, but bring a jacket.

  • Details: Prior to the event, you will receive an email with parking instructions as well as any important things to know before you arrive. If you have questions, please email events@waybirdfarmandforest.com.

  • Disclaimer: Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
