We’re celebrating the end of 2023 with an Oyster Roast!

We plan to start roasting/shucking around 12pm, so please RSVP and plan to be there at noon if you would like oysters. Weather should be chilly but sunny, we’ll have the firepit going and heaters if we need them. Bring a jacket and any food/drinks you’d like to enjoy besides oysters.

The idea for Waybird has always been to share it. Slow Sundays are our way to open the gates every once in awhile, inviting people to just be here for an hour or an afternoon — the most low-key way to enjoy Waybird. Bring a picnic, a book, a fishing rod (or use ours) and relax. We hope you'll come often and feel at home here.

All ages are welcome, it’s free, all we ask is that you RSVP so we can make sure we know who is coming.

A few things to note:

• We limit the number of RSVPs to keep things relaxed and sustainable, so please RSVP for each guest. We hope to host monthly Slow Sundays, so if this month is full you can look out for the next one!

• The houses will remain closed, but our outdoor bathroom, sinks, tables & chairs are available for your use. Please be sure to return anything you use to the place you found it, and let us know if anything is missing/broken.

• We’re trying to encourage a device-free and “low tech” experience (we all need it!), so be mindful to keep phone use to the bare minimum and please leave tech toys at home.

• Bring a reusable water bottle and wear comfortable clothes & shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.
